Degree Requirements
The Art Department at Webster University has a reputation as one of the best art program in the Midwest. The department offers the education and facilities of an art institutes with the academic opportunities and diversity of a liberal arts college. The faculty is comprised of more that 25 artists and scholars. nationally recognized artits visit campus regularly to show their work and talk with students about the creative process.
Students may chose either a bachelor of arts (B.A.) or a bachelor of fine arts (B.F.A.) degree, depending on their career goals. The B.A. degree track is for students who’s emphasis is art history and criticism or studio art. It is also ideal for those who are interested in a double major or who want to specialize in art education. The B.F.A. degree track is for professional studies in a designated studio area and is considered excellent preparation for graduate study in art.
