Julian Scaff is a media artist and scholar who works primarily with video, sound, installation, and environmental art. His media artworks explore narratives of conceptual and real spaces and synthetic identity through cultural, political and environmental lenses. His environmental artworks seek to mediate sustainable dialogues between human existence and natural systems. In the 1990′s he was an award-winning graphic and UI designer for many of the new dotcom companies. He holds a BA (honors) in Film and Video from Pitzer College, an MA in Film and Television Critical Theory from UCLA, and an MFA in Public Art from the Dutch Art Institute.
